マイクロソフトがRaspberry Pi 2用のWindows 10を無償で提供する

マイクロソフトが次期OSのWindows 10をRaspberry Pi 2用に無償で公開することになりました。

教育用の低価格コンピュータとして発売されているRaspberry Piですが

Windows 10が無償で利用できることと、処理能力が上がったRaspberry Pi 2で相乗効果が期待できそうです。

教育用！ボランティア！社会貢献ですね。

何かRaspberry Pi用のシステムを開発して、社会貢献に相乗りしたい気持ちです。

社内でもRaspberry Piを購入して、遊んだ経験があるスタッフが何人かいますが

ヘビーに使いこなしている人は残念ながらいません。

ボードが剥き出しのまま今では放置されています。。。

今ではRaspberry Pi用の専用ケースが何種類も発売されているので

そろそろ本格的にRaspberry Pi 2を使ったシステムを開発してみるのも

いいかもしれません。

ただ、メモリースティック型やSDカードサイズのパソコンが今年は流行りそうなだけに

小さい消費電力が少ないなどのメリットが薄れた状況でどれだけシェアが上がるのか？

気になるところです。
